The things that make my life hum: serving God and herding kids, cats and cows with my wonderful hubby while simultaneously running my "boutique" ad agency from home.
I must polietly disagree, for the most part. You can find parallels in almost any story if you look hard enough, nothing is truly original, no. But going past Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone, all of the other books have got their roots deep in the fables and myths and fairy tales that have been told and retold for many years. That doesn't lessen our enjoyment of them, nor change the fact that the author has done a great deal of good with said money, more so then many other s who are in similar circumstances.

Should we ask for our money back?

Tracee, just so you don't misunderstand me here, our whole family LOVED the Harry Potter books. We read the whole set out loud together.
My point is that the story itself is just another telling of a larger and profound Truth. The Story, if you will.
In short:
Good has been and always will be fighting against Evil.
Oh, and...
SPOILER ALERT!!
::whisper:: Good wins.
I NEVER get sick of that story. :)
